You will also need a wire to kill the spinal cord if you are going to do it right. Check out you tube.

The first time I went on a cattle boat, i signed up for the jackpot. I won the jackpot, but before I caught that fish
I brought in a half bonito that was pretty close to the jackpot winner. Dang seals.

When all you experts are done laughing at your own jokes, you might want to take time to look up 'ikejime'. on You Tube, sense the original question was ignored. It was actually a very good question about killing and bleeding fish used by the Japanese to make a better finished product than any of our more common methods. Take the time to read why it is used and watch a few of the videos. I had never heard of it. I am glad it was posted. Non of us are ever to old to learn.

Just a quick bit of trivia: In Alaska, the commercial fishermen refer to charter boats or head boats and cattle boats as puke boats. It is probably a more accurate name
