Hey Frank, thanks for the info. The bite seems to be off and on. Last Sunday nothing nowhere, not even a nibble. Yesterday I tried working with curl tail worms (blue and black) got one tug but might have been a crappy... craws, (blood worm color) nothing...switched over to a sexy shad square bill crank and caught a 4 pounder...I cranked it for another hour and nothing...strange fishing days right now...oh and I fished the square bill crank very slow

Hey Andy, thanks for the info. The bite seems to be off and on. Last Sunday nothing nowhere, not even a nibble as I mentioned before. Yesterday I took your advice about worming...I rigged up a curl tail worm (blue and black) got one tug but might have been a crappy... I tried craws, (blood worm color) nothing...switched over to a sexy shad square bill crank and caught a 4 pounder...I cranked it for another hour and nothing...strange fishing days right now...oh and I fished the square bill crank very slow.

So last week was amazing...catching 4 and 5 lb bass on jerkbaits and square bill cranks. Today, I was out on a buddy's boat and fished some great looking areas that bass love, spots Iv never fished because I don't have a boat...laydowns points you name it...not even a nibble (still using the jerks and the cranks) after we were done and he left I was frustrated and perplexed as to why no bites so I walked over to the cove that was so amazing last week and fished again with the jerks and cranks...same thing happened...no bites. What's going on? I'm in California and even though were coming into fall the weather hasn't changed that much. Today was in the low 80s. I also realize that fish do move around with the change of weather and current. Should I change baits at this point?

The bass are following the shad. If there aren’t shad in your fishing areas, the bass won’t be there either...My 2cents.

Hey Spirito, so I went from cranks, jerks and caught some nice bass 2 weeks ago and as mentioned the fish disappeared. Yesterday did some finesse fishing with worms and craws very slow on the bottom. Got a tug with my curly tail but might have been a crappy. Went back to smaller presentation on a sexy square bill cranking very slow and caught a nice 4 pound bass. Kept cranking for another hour and nothing. Very on and off right now

Andy, did some very slow cranking with a smaller sexy shad square bill after I tried T-rig and work/craw. Finally landed a 4 pounder yesterday.

P.S. that would be great...would love to fish with you sometime

Thanks Chuck...shad is there. Finally landed a nice one yesterday on a smaller square bill cranking really slow. Fall is a little tricky. So much to learn about weather and bass behavior. I'm new at this...since last February

Good deal glad you caught a nice fish congrats 👏
Fishing is even tuff up here. I've found out this te of year you have to work harder and slower basically put it by their nose 👃. Try pig jig crawdad colors and work it real slow.
Good luck and hope this will help you

Nothing on the T-rig. I'm going to do some drop shotting next. My best luck has been on square Bill's and jerk baits
