You going to be fishing ocean side, bay side, or both?

Get you some bottom rigs a couple of blue fish rigs 2 to 4 oz pyramid sinkers. Around a #2 or 4 hook. For bait stop at the bait shop get some shrimp and some finger mullet. Cut them up in bait size chunks. Go to the beach cast them on the back side of the breakers and have fun.

Get yourself a couple of these mullet rigs. I caught more snapper blues from the surf in the last 2 days with these rigs than i did probably all last summer and fall.

Hey Danger, what is the difference in what you are showing and a popping cork?

Haven't seen your set up before.

This has a wire that you run thru the mullets mouth and out its vent hole…then you place the double hook on the end …there’s an eye on the end of the wire…..since blues attack the mullet from behind they takenthe hook…that red circle hook is attached to the top of the rig where the mullet head would be and goes thru the eyes to keep the mullet from sliding down the wire.

Heres one i had just caught a snapper with…you can see the double hook in the mullets belly…thats why the circle hook keeps them from sliding down. But even like this , as the blues attack rhe ass end of the mullet, they eventually get to the hook.
