Alligator in Ohio

My sister in law watched this small gator moving around duck weed for about 5 mins. This is cleanest pic she took.

Great Miami River in south central Ohio.

Now my brother is a legendary Bulls—-ter but never known his wife to be. Mater of fact she’s kinda religious about nature and healing plants and all

She checked with ODNR and it’s not uncommon for gator siting or capture here in southern Ohio.

Always thought it was urban legend

People who have them as pets tend to release them once they realize how expensive they are to feed. This happens to snakes, too.

Years ago was living in Greeley, Colo and someone found a gator in a small pond near Ft Collins. But it was a pretty good size one. They figured someone turned a pet lose!
