Been a long Summer without my boat. Tried bank fishing a couple of times and hated it. Wasn't going to go tonight but the lake was flat. No smoke in the air and sun was no more. Thinking of Ivey and night fishing... why not? Tied on a Berkley Hit Stick and drove down to the Lake and caught these two beasts! Fish therapy! How sweet it is!

Very nice! I’m waiting to hear what the second one is too. Kinda looks like a chub, but I don’t know if you have those there or if they get that big.

Looks like a fun night to me for sure. Thanks for the pictures. I’d love to hear the boat story too. Hey, I’ve got no life…

Great fishing Steve, Glad you got to get out, another avid night fisherman hooked.

It was so different catching a fish like that in the dark. Luckily, I had my drag set just right. When she would peel line I just kept the pressure on and let her go. Came out of the water twice and could hear her splash back down in the water. All three trebles on the hit stick had a hook in her. She absolutely crushed it on that first hit. If I would have had my boat and worked around my favorite spots on the lake, there is no doubt in my mind I would have caught a 20+ lb limit of smallmouth that night. That's OK because now I have a new item on my bucket list!

Boat story is sad. My wife has mental health issues. She filed a TRO saying I have been slowly poisoning her. The judge signed it and I can't go within 50 yards of my home. I've been homeless living out of a hotel all Summer. There has been two hearings, both times with signed agreements to drop the TRO. Both times the judge didn't like the language and refused to sign. In the meantime the TRO remains in effect. But it will all be over soon and being single I'll have much more time for fishing!

Sounds to me like the Judge needs
to have an 'accident' - maybe a slip and fall' under BB's bus ?

Steve I am truly sorry to hear about you having to go through that BS. Hopefully the lawyers can straighten out the paperwork so that Judge will sign off on the agreement. Hang in there buddy, there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you Paul. My heart is sad but it's all out of my hands now. I've been taking care of her for so many years now that there is an undeniable sense of freedom.

He's in his 70's, all the cops and lawyers wish he'd retire. I agree.

Thank you Fred. It sucks. Thankful I have a good job. $120 a night for a place to live is pricey.
