We had a pretty good day "drift fishing" for Blues today on Lake Tawakoni. The bite was a little slow but we ended up with 20 blues. A couple of them were pretty nice and one that was about 12 lbs. Unfortunately, the scales weren't working so this was our best "guestimate". It was my first time for drift fishing. I learned quite a bit that I hope to be able to duplicate.

I think there may have been 21 cats present...that front fish just might have another one hiding inside...what a jumbo! Great catching, and very fun to try a different fishing method too! Enjoy your catch!

I managed to have some fresh walleye for dinner tonight...but it came from the store...not fresh like what you guys did! Way to go!

Just got them all bagged. 35lbs of fillets. I see a family fish fry in the near future.

Nice job. Looks like your guess was pretty dang close.
The bite was a little “slow”?
When the bite is dang good where I fish two of us will catch half that many.

A slow bite? Hmmm. You guys must have had a blast Papa, really nice haul and new experience with the drift and 35# of fillets, wow! That would be more than adequate for a family reunion fish fry.
