All ya got to do is pay me and and I’ll come to your area and wash my truck.
Guaranteed rain. 100% money back guarantee.
Been there, done that.... even washed the F250(which usually only gets a bath 4-6 times a year.......still no precip to be had.
The Catch-22 of the prospect of rain in our area this time of year, is that it more than likely will be a thunderstorm, not a "water the crops and fill the lakes" kind of thing....our true need. A quick burst of rain.... WITH THE ACCOMPANYING LIGHTENING STRIKES !!!, will only exacerbate our dilemma.
With smokey skies and 105° w/14% humidity today, I won't bother to waste the water.... even if it WOULD bring the promise of something "good and wet". The odds are simply awful that we won't see the end of this until October or even November.
Dew point is at 49° today.... tonight's low is forecast to be 76°, our "norm" is about 52°-56°, this time of year.
I still think the "Infrastructure Plan" should direct the already-paid-for pipe that was to be an oil transport system, to instead, head west to carry all that water y'all don't want nor need..... liquid is liquid, and the booster pumps along the way, will last much longer and perform more efficiently than with that "sand tar sludge" they were built for.
Just a thought.
BTW... read the fishing report for my region this a.m., two of my favorite lakes are listed as "2% Pool Level"... !!!! & will be 'Deadpool' by August 15-20.
The "catch limits" were removed weeks ago in an effort to get the fish (mostly trout, but yes, bassaholics.... Largemouth and Smallies, as well) GONE before they simply die of heat and oxygen depletion. Re-stocking/restoration of fish population can't begin until this winter.....at best.
Sad situation here and throughout the West, all the way up into British Columbia.
