That's the one Gordon. Do you ever wonder what happened to imagination in kids. When alone or with a couple of friends you could find something to do that didn't require batteries 👍👍

I believe imagination is how we teach our selves common sense. Its a dying art.

I'm afraid it is. I went to grandsons softball tournament a couple moths ago. I saw kids with electronics all over. Then one little girl caught my eye. She was walking around picking up stones n bring them to a spot where she'd pile them up. She played with that pile of stones the whole game. Lost in her imaginary world. Oblivious to everthing around her. She'll make it in this world 😃😃

She'll be a rare find in today's world.

Flyguy you reminded me of a country music video. Young boy playing ball by himself. I'm the greatest hitter in the would he'd say. Toss the ball in the air swing. Strike one then 2 n 3. Head drops then he looks up. A big smile comes on his face. He shouts wow i never knew i could pitch like that. 😀😀

I remember, and loved that little boy!

Does the caption below hit home for anyone?

Remember those little league days. Where we could have sat on the bench and hope for a win so the coach would buy us a soda pop.

Or we could give it our all, get the grass stains from that extra effort and know we did our part.

Now the field has been replaced by the work place.

No grass stains and its only work if you don’t enjoy your job.

Good post PB. For me determination is proportional to the task at hand. The more improbable or impossible, the harder I try. It’s especially true when I’m told you’ll never get that done. Sure I fail from time to time but it’s not for a lack of trying. Keep on keeping on folks.

So true Plumb. I’m not finding much I can’t do still. Is it all quality work? Maybe not but I’m getting things done because my focus is “getting things done”. And I’m STILL getting grass stains but it’s mostly because I have to sit a lot vs bending over now😂

That’s very true Gordon. Too many people looking for a hand out or focusing on telling other people how to do things now.

Another good one plum 😁👍 I remember them good old days very well little league back then was 4th ,5th , and 6th grade so you had to learn in 4th grade 5th grade if you're good enough you might get to play some sixth grade you was King. In my honest opinion kids should be made to go outside and play with no electronics just like my mother used to kick us kids out and tell us to not come back till she yelled for us. Another plus is it's good exercise for your body and your mind

Yes she will. When the lights go out she’s gonna figure out how to survive in the dark. The rest will perish.

Good one that was our Sunday evening go to after church. Those were the days. Now where we used to play is a park and houses around it

Very sad isn’t it? When I go see my Mom in Wyoming I don’t run around much. All of the places we played as kids, in the creek, up on the vacant hills, around the ole bass ponds are all gone. No kids outside playing anywhere and pavement, concrete and buildings where we used to be way away from everything. Now you see kids with their faces glued to electronics everywhere and no activities going on. I’m like Phil Robertson. My grandkids don’t get the opportunity to play on their electronics when they’re with me. They get to see the lake instead or the trail we’re hiking. A few of them don’t even get to bring them along because they won’t stay off of them. The older ones know they can bring them along but it’s for taking pictures only. If I catch them on social media or calling or texting people they just hand me the phone and it goes in my pack.

So true Whitey, when we were kids mom would say get out of the house and don't come back till suppertime. We didn't need the electronics to be entertained there was always something to do.
