Just a few short years ago before I said the body has had enough. I would do a lot of home owner assist projects.
Loved it when they knew their weakness and I the same when they worked in a different environment and sharing intel was a win win exchange.
Life is the same way, just got to know our limits and accept help that we don’t always have the physical nor spiritual strength that we once may have had.

Good morning Bob, I'm still finding that there's hardly anything I can't do, one day it will catch up with me but for now will keep ahead of the pack

I have found that relearning limits is a hard pill to swallow. For me it's been the worst part of the aging process.

I hear ya on that one. I’m not good at asking or accepting help but I’m working on it.

Good one Plum. Unfortunately just recently I'm finding more weaknesses than I ever had or would admit to. Getting old sucks, but I have a lot more fishing time!

And the head says go ahead you've done that a thousand times. And the body says don't be a fool, Fool! 😃😬
Some are beyond HELP. I say I am at retail stores all the time. When someone says may I help you.
I am beyond HELP

Very good “thought”, Bob.
I was confronted with that constantly by clients throughout my career as a remodeling contractor. There were three typical questions I heard the most:
1. Q: “How much is this gonna cost?”
A: “I’ll give you a firm bid or I’ll give you an estimate and do the job on a “cost plus 10%” basis.”
2.Q: “How much will it cost if I/we help?”
A: “Add 20%. Just kidding!” LOL
I would always ask them what skills they had and try to encourage them to stick with whatever they may be qualified to do. Many times, the daily clean-up work was a way for them to save money, especially on jobs that would take several days. Any time a client would agree to do any aspect of the job, I would include a note of that in their written contract.
3.Q: “Is ________ (different parts of the job) very hard?”
A: “Not if you know how; Have you ever done it?”
Enough said....
