Jeepers! What a catastrophe! Never knew that could happen. I have recently noticed that we are getting more charge stations set up around our community. Definitely going to avoid being anywhere near them! Thanks for posting!

I don’t care for CNN but here’s an article about the fires.

Interesting info Hack. It sure does seem like a quantum leap to leave behind gasoline and diesel engines for electric. Plus you have the dilemma of where does that electricity come from that is charging the vehicles....

I have been seeing a few more electric cars on the roads around where I live, and the other day while stopped at a traffic light my wife and I were musing about how folks would ever tow large campers, big boats and heavy equipment around...just to consider a few...not to mention "smaller" items needing a tow like 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, etc.

Then of course the next question becomes...can we keep the gas powered stuff or not that we tow around (items mentioned above)...or will we be giving all that up?! We have a large marina in our town that is home to some impressively sized yachts, and I can hardly imagine them being converted to battery power as just one example!

I do respect our environment...but I'm just not sure how green we can all become. I guess something is better than nothing though!

The slightest little spark in a battery compartment is NOT gonna be good for sure. No electric cars for me until that’s all there is. I’m not gonna volunteer to be one helping make the change.

Thanks for the info!
I was not aware that this could be a problem with electric charging stations.

A simple spark at the plug-in point could cause some serious consequences and we all know how many intelligent driver we have on the road now days.

Maybe it’s part of the population reduction program.

Personally, I think this should be broadcast nationwide so that
EVERYONE can be aware ! I sure as hell won't be driving one, and now I won't even park NEAR one, especially
if it's charging !

I just saw a utube video showing how much is charged to charge your vehicle. What! You thought it is free? I’ll never own anything but gas or diesel powered.

Are some of these stations also receiving their power input from a diesel, or natural gas generator? Sounds foolish to have to generate electricity with a hydrocarbon product. Why not just fill up with gasoline. Just Sayin....RJS

I'm with you, Robert. Do the math. Without subsidies, it's hard to imagine electric cars even existing in today's world. And, like mentioned, what happens at the end time and the carcass has to be disposed of? I guess maybe the government will have to come up with a safe solution and finance it.?! Oh well, what's new? I believe I heard that money is planned for in the infrastructure package being considered to build thousands of charging stations all over the country.

I read more about it Big A and it claimed these incidents were rare, but have happened. So that right there is something telling me it will happen again, sometime, somewhere, and like all of us, I don’t want to be near a charging station and especially if a vehicle is charging.

What you see in this video is an electric car at a charging station with a shorting cell setting off all the rest.

Note the time it took to destroy 3 cars, 1.15 minutes.

The first car was destroyed in about 38 seconds. The fire cannot be extinguished with water.

No fire department will approach a burning battery-powered car because of the toxic gasses produced during the fire.

No recycling place will take the car's remains because of the toxic chemicals the batteries contain. You own it !
If you have a gas or diesel auto, don’t park close to a charging station!

For the present, the electric car craze is a fantasy world, conjured up by AOC and followers. Without all this hot air, it would not get anywhere, and is very likely to fall back to earth without continued government support. Just Sayin...RJS

Regardless of the old adage
regarding lightning, it CAN and
DOES sometimes strike twice
in the same place ! Other folk
can do what they like, but I, for
one, am keeping my distance !

10-4 on that comment...could not agree more! They are fun on the golf course (mini versions like we have been using for decades), but that's about it!
