I was always told if something doesn’t work the first time it’s not wise to do the same thing again and expect different results. Anybody ever hear that?

I have heard, like RJS said, but; the "premise" was: "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." ... I'm thinking that if I have "an objective"; ... something that I truly feel would be beneficial to accomplish;... Perhaps change "the recipe" a bit... Go to 'Plan B' with the same objective, but different techniques. So... After thinking about it... that's NOT really doing the same thing, after all; ¿Is it?...

Well if adding some flour helped a recipe.....but its still a little runny adding some a second time might just be what is needed. But if wh**ever you did did NOT help the first time I would say well of course it will NOT help the second time.

People didn't get v******ted and now its spreading where they live so you think the same people will avoid getting v******ted the second time around? I will bet it will be the same places and faces this time around.

Not in my opinion. If a person were to do things a little differently the next time and the results were better it would be a good choice. Doing the exact same thing twice or over and over and expecting a different outcome is the insanity part. You can use me as an example. I took a break from the stage once and was asked by, nearly EVERYONE here to consider coming back. I thought about it for quite a while and decided to give it another shot and do things a little differently. I didn’t change things quite enough and got s**k of the childish harassment and took another break. This time it was only a couple of days and I realized I could be just as much of the problem as the others. Who am I to say my opinion is the only right way to see things. Again I was asked by nearly EVERYONE on the stage to reconsider and stick around. I took their advice both times but this time I came in with an, entirely different approach. Things are going great now thanks to the support from the stage members who asked me to stay and I’m not doing things like I used to. The attacks are still coming but they flash by and I don’t respond. I’m amazed at the wealth of intellectual integrity they put into their statements. It’s sad to see the same people are now attacking my friends but, they too, will decide how to conduct their confrontations.

Sounds like you may have heard a similar saying, to one you have "just brought to mind" = "When I find that I am 'pointing my finger' at (some person) and saying: '¡THERE'S my problem, RIGHT there!'... At the same time that I'm pointing that finger at 'my problem'; I've got 3 fingers pointing right back at ME!" (Funny how that works out...)
