Could go figure out all the details as jus Grandma… then when you take the kids you will be more organized and have all the information rather than learning it all while trying to teach them and keep them safe all the while.

Just an idea.. it would be called scouting the fishing areas and successful techniques etc.

Good Luck

Yes, surveying the scene would not be a bad idea. That way, you would have more time and success with the grandkids. Just Sayin...RJS

Good Morning, hoping everyone is doing well. I love to fish but I am not great at it but still love doing it. I am looking for fishing locations in the Los Angeles area that I can enjoy while catching some fish. I would also like for these places to be kid and dog friendly if possible. So many grandchildren...lol

Well I hope to hear from you all soon and thanks in advance for you assistance 😊

Good morning, just getting around to reading your posts. I seen you don't mind road trips. If I may suggest going to lone pine in the eastern sierras. Look up lone pine creek sand trap. This is very kid and dog friendly area. It's a 200 mile trip from LA but worth it. If you drive about 40 miles north you can also look up George creek, shepherds creek and independence creek. All these areas are good for kids and is where I take my kids and grandkids. If you plan a trip let me know and I will give you directions. Bill
