There ARE snipe out there ! I have seriously hunted them along with woodcocks and grouse - they resemble both woodcocks and sandpipers in a way, with similar
size, beaks and legs ! 'Snipe hunting' has been used as a joke or to con people, but it IS a valid sport !

I used to greet everyone with a "Hello or Good Morning" but stopped doing it when I got zero response most of the time. People are friendlier down south??? They must be hiding those people.
