I started admiring them about 25yrs ago. There should be a good used market for them. The 23 is a sweet CC.

Glad to hear they did the right thing. You’ll have your money back a to put toward a new boat and the experience/ knowledge you gained only cost you some time and aggravation. I still think unless you buy a new boat your going to have some issues though not as big as the gas tank. Worked out well for you. Good luck with new boat. Keep us posted on the “Bite Me II” ,or will it be “Bite Me Too” ?

Yeah, one thing i got to be an expert at is putting it on and off the trailer….ill start driving around to different marinas and see what’s available…i know in my price range im gonna put a few buck into whatever i get…but i just started getting a knot in my stomach with the bite me…everything was breaking……it was a learning experience that thankfully only cost me some aggravation and a few bucks

Things can almost always be worse... I lived and worked on a ¿50 ft.? boat in Ft. Pierce, FL; for a while... He had a V-7112, Detroit Diesels in that rascal... One night, I was Downtown and unaware that he was ready to go fishing. I guess he decided to take his wife out with him, to "do his lob" (while "hauling back"; while he would "do MY JOB", (while hauling back)... Well, long story a wee bit shorter; because he wanted to "provide a smoother ride" for her, while the net was "soaking"; he tied off by the stern, rather than by the bow. Seawater came right up through them "risers" in the exhaust system and part of the Atlantic Ocean ended up, INSIDE that big engine.
Hadda get towed in; hadda rent a phooking DRAGLINE... The Surveyor came by, (because borrowing money was "called for")once the engine was already at the machine shop for a rebuild/ & overhaul... All the Surveyor could bring himself to say, was: "Whatever you do; ... DON'T LET IT SINK WITHOUT THE ENGINE IN IT!"
