Caught A Rawlings Today

I went to a place that CamT told me about to try and catch some bass. I went about 10AM and fished until about 12:30. I threw everything in my box that might catch a bass. I was about ready to go due to the heat (100 degrees), but I thought I’d try a couple more casts with an H&H double blade spinner bait. First cast, nothing. Second cast and as I was reeling in my rod bent. I just knew I had a nice Bass. It was heavy but not fighting. I got it close to the top and it was a baseball. There is a little league baseball field close to the creek. I was disappointed but hey, I finally went fishing. I hooked it in the seam and kept it on so I could show my wife. I guess a kid hit a home run over center field fence. Anyway I’ll have to wait until it’s cooler. The heat kills me. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it...

Hello Hacksaw: Well, I don't think I've ever heard of a fisherman catching a baseball! Snakes, other fishermen, Once another complete rod and reel someone else had lost overboard, but never a baseball! I read here on Stages, someone even hooked and landed a shotgun! Just Sayin....RJS

RJ, I’d much rather have the shotgun but I put the ball with my fishing gear.😉

Theres lots of balls in that water Hack but I've never caught one yet 🤯🤣🍻
I have caught two rod and reels at a pier that I used to fished until hurricane ike destroyed it

Thats a great catch there Hacksaw. Reminds me of one evening fishing in the Black Hills and I caught a bat. The bat saw the hook and grabbed it. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
