He's Just a Man...

Graywulff Loc: Cortez,Co.

At a very young age he went off to war to defend this country because he felt it was his duty and his privilege to protect and defend this nation which he holds so dear. After he got out of the service he married the woman he loved, went to work, raised a family, and over time he has accumulated much knowledge and wisdom. He's a rather unremarkable person as far as looks go. He has wrinkles, and white hair, and scars. He loves to fish, and tell stories and after all this time he is still passionately in love with his wife. He is kind and gentle in a gruff sort of way. He will never make the evening news. With all of the battles he has fought, both in war and just in life, with all the hardships he has endured, with all the sadness which has come his way, he still has one of the most profound senses of humor I have ever encountered. He is kind, he is tolerant, he is Christian. He is my Hero. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY BADBOBBY, and all fathers, grandfathers great-grandfathers who are living their lives in much the same way.

Twenty-four years and I miss mine still. He taught me how to live and, I hope he taught me how to die. Occasionally I'll see something and I'll think, "I need to call Dad and tell him about this". But, I can't do that anymore. Some day I tell him face to face.

Most kids don’t see much of their dad, because he’s trying to put food on the table. Being a grandpa is another story. I love watching them grow, and it happens all to quickly. Happy Father’s Day.
