This is what I do everyday all day. Flip houses and do all the work. I’m a master Carpenter and do all my own plumbing. Worked as an electrician for first 10 years in the trades. My advice is stay away from CPVC. Add all the new stuff in pex. They make conversion fittings. I’ve seen that CPVC garbage become brittle and brake very easily and quite often. Worked for guys that renovated there rentals with CPVC and with in 10 years we had brakes all over. Pex is new to residential plumbing but technology has been used for 100 years with hydraulic systems.

Agreed. My most lucritive(sp) jobs were repairing the breaks in plastic pipes when they were stressed around a bend.
Ruined floors, floor coverings, altered routes with copper, insulation replacement, mobile homes were the most costly with limited crawl spaces.
Key word --- were.
At 74 they are memories.

A water leak can be a contractors and homeowners best friend if they know there way around an insurance policy.
Feel like you and I could talk for hours!! I’d probably do a lot of listening because you’ve got me by 30 years but I helped my uncle build his house starting at age 10. Took him 3 years and I helped with it all. So I’ve got 30 years plus I the game. Finally feel like I’ve gotten good enough at it to make real money! Owning/running a business isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.

That answers that question now i see how you got around the permit issue. I didn't run the yellow flex stuff in my day it was just coming out when i was getting out new installs.

With black pipe my go to for testing was Dawn soap and a lighter if the bubbles were the first sign.

We could only run the flex to the appliance from the stub out, everything up to there had to be black pipe and I'll say it again I don't like working with black pipe. The main was set years ago, not sure if they were ran to all the houses in Huntsville back then that house was built in 1965.
