Southwest water problem was there from the beginning. Seems plans to keep the water supply current with demand and the changing rainfall or lack of aren’t getting it done. Current standard is we make every drop of water drinkable. Maybe desalination system that supplies household use water only. Maybe those fountains, car washes could use water that isn’t salt free. Might go up the Colorado river and see where the water is going. Some companies bottle up the “free” water and ship it all over the world. Water is a valuable resource. You can add soda and beer companies to that list of “free” water consumers. Not on any rant here, but we pay the government a lot of money and they spend it pretty easily. To see Lake Mead go to waste and it isn’t something that happened suddenly is a damn shame. Sorry to see it all. I have seen a number of pictures on this Stage of shorelines way below “what it used to be”.
