If c***d19 cases are dropping as fast as “they” say they are it shouldn’t matter now whether you’re v******ted or not to other people. It doesn’t stop the spread of the v***s or people from contracting it. It simply (supposedly) helps those with weaker i****e s****ms to fight it off a littler quicker. It MAY reduce the number of “c***d related” deaths but it’s not designed to even protect others from contracting it. It’s not like it’s making the v***s go away. Science has proven it only speeds up the i****e s****m in those who are deficient to begin with. My i****e s****m is very strong for my age also I don’t I want to manipulate that and make it weaker for other things. The fact that people, even though the numbers are small, are dying just from getting the v*****e makes me take a step back on this one. The numbers are, relatively, small for those dying from the v*****e but we need to keep in mind those numbers are just, recently, being calculated. I feel we’re gonna see the numbers grow as more research is done on deaths FROM the v*****e. Just as we did with death related to the v***s. I, personally, know two people who have died from the v*****e. I know of no one who died from the v***s. Given those statistics the percentages for death from the v*****e are much higher than deaths from the v***s. If 50% of the population has the same experience I’ve had the number of deaths FROM the v*****e will, far, outweigh the the numbers I have for deaths from the v***s. Just my personal experience. Bottom line is we need to think for ourselves and just do what we think is the right thing to do.

With the so called declines here why are the Olympics' being held in a country the locals say don't come?

We lived nearly a year and a half without watching the over paid so called athletes, i think i could make it another year not watching the want to be an athletes.

Kids will be kids you can't tell me they are going to stay quarantined in solo dorms so many miles away. Heck mom and dad will be with many and they are just as bad.

H**e to say it but i think if it is as bad as they say and not under control, the c***d #'s will be on the rise even before the Olympics' are over.

I keep reading this thread, I guess for the entertainment value (?), kinda like turning on OAN, Newsmax, or Tucker C. on Fox.....as my father often said, "better the Devil you know.....".

I would address each and every falsehood in the past few posts, but I simply feel it would be a waste of time, the posters obviously have their minds made up and are doing a swell job of parroting the phrases and wildly far-out speculations of the "drum beaters for resistance to reality".

I find several of the above posts to not only contain pure b.s., but in fact, call to question as to whether you even care or want this tragic p******c to come to some manageable mitigation, if not true abatement.
We, of the camp---"the entire nation needs to COLLECTIVELY resolve this problem"---are spending waaaay too much time backtracking on our slow progress, because we have to come back and grab you forth, kicking and screaming, into proceeding FORWARD to get past this setback. You are d**gging us ALL down with your "petulant child who refuses to eat brussel sprouts, because he 'heard' they didn't taste good" behavior. Didn't try to taste and come up with a conclusion of their own, but instead, opted to go with.... "I'm too scared to look out from under the covers, to see if the 'monster' under my bed is actually real".

I truly have empathy for the above posters. I always attempt to see things from every perspective available to me from every possible source, watching ALL the cable news channels, subscribe to 3 newspapers, have online subscriptions to several podcasts from disparate points of view, all in seeking to make an informed decision about all of it, based on MY informed interpretation, ( I freely admit that 'qualification' is mine and mine alone) am sure that the above posters feel they have been making that same choice, but have come to completely different conclusions.
I only ask you to not limit yourself to hearsay, innuendo or a claim that you cannot verify from MANY sources. One of the most damning, as well as humorous, statements made on Fox is "why is no other network talking about this ?"........ well........DUH !?!?

As I have done before, I will end my missive with a John Barlow lyric from a Grateful Dead song....."you ain't gonna learn, what you don't want to know".

I heard the same thing. And they also said it would all be blamed on those of us who chose not to get v******ted. That we would have caused the v***s to spread like wild fire. That shouldn’t be a problem though to the people who are v******ted right? I mean they trust they are safe after being v******ted so what’s the worry? I get ALL of my information from medical professionals, I know personally, who I trust. I’m not one to listen to all the media hype or subscribe to numerous news outlets for any kind of factual information. Nearly all of those are bogus reporting operations. It’s not just Fox News. It’s all of them. You’ll notice that extreme left leaning individuals will bash conservative news and believe every word a liberal site tells them. It’s just a difference of opinion and I don’t think any of them are believable.

Yes and the world will end because of c*****e c****e in less than 10 years and when I was in high school the 'experts" said we were going to die off because of the coming ice age in a couple years. and remember there were prominent scientists that said bad things were going to happen if we ever broke the sound barrier. I think the story of chicken little is applicable here and I doubt that you find a mass die off caused by the v*****e in two years just another wild prediction that someone is making to get their few minutes of fame knowing when it does not come true there will be no shame

come on fixorfish while I agree there is a lot of misinformation out there and everyone needs to evaluate what they here why disregard what Tucker C on fox or OAAN, newsmax says with out careful consideration. On whole I think fox news has been more accurate and fair presenting both sides of the C***d issue than say CNN or NBC. example the theory that it all originated from a Laboratory in China which was ridiculed when it was talked about by the good people of CNN and NBC and now they are admitting that this very likely is the case and needs further investigation. And as you know from watching Tucker C. is is not antiv*****e but does bring out the point if the v*****e works (and he believes it does) why are they still requiring people who have been fully v******ted to wear masks. Finely Dr. Faucci has come around and admitted fully v******ted people are very unlikely to be infected or infect others with c***d. All Tucker C and people like him are asking is that they be honest about the pros and cons of v******tion and let the individual decide while the people in CNN and other networks do not want people to know all sides and be able to make up their own minds

There is a severe lack of t***h in this world and an abundance of lies. It’s hard to know what is t***h. So we all pick our own t***h which isn’t necessarily the t***h. We don’t know who or what to believe. Wear a mask, don’t wear a mask, v******tion or no v******tion and on and on.
No news or useless information is ruled out including conspiracy theories. It all sounds equally viable. Only time will tell. Unfortunately YOUR beliefs can end up being YOUR reality.....so as the Bible says “think on things that are lovely and good report” Phil 4:8 which I guess leaves the evening news out.

you are correct Mauwehu and the battle between t***h and lies has been from the very beginning. From a biblical perspective Satan is the father of lies and God is the source of t***h and so the battle between t***h and lies is the battle between light and darkness. Often we get distracted from the real issue by side issues and the side issues start to consume all our time and effort.
