I got my 2nd shot yesterday, Pfizer. Today I feel like I was hit by a truck. Sounds like it only lasts a day.

Both my wife and I have our second shot with Moderna. I had no reaction with either, but my wife's second shot caused her to have a mild reaction of aches and a sore arm. From what I'v heard, Pfizer's vaccine has had more reactions than has Moderna. What that means, I don't know. Just Sayin...RJS

I believe that the idea behind any vaccine is that once injected, you should expect and anticipate some form of reaction because essentially you are being "gently infected" to allow your own body to develop a stronger natural immunity. Sounds scary and risky, but that is the process we have come up with.

When the corona game began early last year I was among the early "guinea pigs" to catch it and deal with it naturally. It knocked me on my butt for about 3 weeks, and it felt like I had all 22 of the eleven typical symptoms. Plenty of rest, spending as much time as possible sitting upright and drinking a special vitamin/mineral mix brand called "Emergen-C" helped a great deal (twice daily). The usual trick that works for me is that when you are coming down with something, and you recognize it, you've got to boost your immune system ASAP no matter what is coming your way.

That being said, I would rate covid's peril and fear factor at about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. In years past, with other flu virus's, I have experienced "bugs" that I would rate a 9 out of 10 for misery. Double pneumonia and the whole ball of wax along with a 6 week long cure time.

In my opinion, it greatly depends on the condition of your immune system at any given time. I always got the worst cases when I was working too much overtime, not sleeping well, and being stressed with deadlines and demands on my time. The worse case I ever had was when I was 30, so in my opinion while age can be a culpable factor of concern, it is not always just about a person's age.

I am not glossing over what we have all been thru since this all began, and I'm sure that many of us lost loved ones and friends...and that is indeed more than tragic....definitely a very low time for us in modern human history. Being human is a frailty that we all have to deal with and unfortunately we are not yet immortal as we live and breathe on this side of heaven. I think we would all agree that it will be "good riddance" to covid 19 as immediately as possible!

Wife and I had no reaction with Pfizer, have friends who had reactions with both. Nothing that lasted more than a day. Given the complexity of the immune process, it would be interesting to compile a list of the individual variables among those who have had a reaction.

Thanks guys. I've heard having a reaction really means it's working. Glad I feel like crap?? It's not as bad as the flu. It's too bad so many people are opting to not get the vaccine. We won't get to herd immunity. Then what?

I've heard some say it hasn't been approved yet. Yep i know n what about the stuff that took 10/20 to approve them 20yrs later all h##l breaks outn lawyers want all the lawsuits. I really liked the ones that said it was infringing on their rights. What about all the laws we follow including paying taxes everywhere. All we can do is protect ourselves n luvd ones 👍👍

Saw a piece on 60 Minutes about rushing the vaccine. Yes, myself included worried about rushing the vaccine. Like you said Grizz 10 years. But they talked about how far technology and science has come the 10 year trial period is rapidly closing. This vaccine may be safe, may wear off in two years, some vaccinated people still get covid, and I may grow a 3rd arm out of my bald head. What is there to lose? I can get shot at the grocery store tomorrow.

Had both Pfizers and the first pain in the injection site for nearly a week. 2nd shot only 1 day of pain in the injection spot.

Just like life everyone is different to some extent.

It would take a year to explain all that happens from exposure to antibody production and finally immunity. The thing to understand is that the vaccine is not a modified virus so you can not get the disease. The effects that people experience are the results of all the cell interactions that occur and the subsequent release of powerful chemicals that can cause systemic effects if present in large enough quality. It’s hard to believe just how many powerful chemical products the body produces, usually in very small amounts that exist for a very short time in a relatively small space.

After the first nothing. After the second, my wife was tired for a week and I had a stuff neck for couple days. I'll trade that to be able to sit ND have a cup of coffee with an old friend.

The biggest one I have heard is that the government is getting rid of us old people. They are supposed to be using the virus to get us to vacinate to do this.
