Look at Walmart or Basspro, they have a gripper that you can clamp onto toothy critters. I have one in my tackle box, they work real good, just dont go for cheap ones

Get a clamper and forget using your hands. Clamper is safer for you and for the fish. They aren't expensive, they work great and using them avoids removing the slime from their skin (and Pike are really slimey).

Yes, there are kevlar fishing gloves for sale that help especially when you are messing around in the net trying to unloose the hooks tangled in the net to pull out the fish. If they thrash with your bare hands down there, they can easily drive the hooks into your hand. That's worse than a tooth cut.

Jaw grabbers work. Just don’t lay them Down on the bank. I’ve lost two. Use them for releasing steelhead that can not be removed from the water if they are wild.

Before you rely in even Kevlar gloves test them. A friend of mine has them. He thought they'd protect against hooks n fins. I told him i didn't think they would work. I read about how a pointed object could penetrate Kevlar. He put one on n found a knife wouldn't cut it but a hook would indeed penetrate.

I call that glove a pair of channel locks. 1 whack on the head, it'll be quiet.and sit still. Then you can do anything you want to with it. Keep fishing.

For dealing with toothy critters, ✓-out: Neptunic Sharksuits in your favorite internet search engine. They sell chainmail gloves and also sleeves that go over the head to about the chest.
