I've tried fluro carbon leaders and don't like them. The "pros" tell me I should use them but they're a PITA to me. I am trying to figure out what color braid for different clarity and conditions.
just buy the green but a tip from KVD is to take a large black marker and run about 8-10feet of line with it over your black marker. the important thing about the color of your line is for you to see when the UV light has effected it's strength and effectiveness and when to cut off or replace it just something to think about.
I've heard this before; thanks for posting.
color does not mater fish only see black blue red green that is bass I sight but type in on your computer and ask what color bass see color of line is what you can see my cousin in ten killer use bright yellow for crappies like I said fish don't see the line
The answer to your question is it doesn't matter, use your preferance. Use high vis if you need to see the line move or low vis if you are fishing really clear water and want to hide your line more.
It really doesn't matter to me the color cause I use a black Sharpe and color the last 3 ft before the lure. You will be surprised how much that helps
There is a logical reason when to use bright or dark colors. Instead of thinking about color, I think of what a fish sees. And I don't think in terms of color, I use light/dark instead. If you're fishing over the top of fish, I use bright colors on sunny days. The fish is looking up. Bright colors don't show as much against a bright background. Fishing at a desired depth I use darker lines. The line blends in with the background under water. I also use darker lines on very cloudy days.
Any color will work as long as it’s green.
The color wears off anyway, so always use about a two foot leader and you will be fine.
Moss Green
Or
Low Visibility Gray
