If you only have 25 hrs. on this motor and its pumping good, no overheat signal, Your impeller is fine. Now have you ever run the impeller dry. LIke when you have on the flusher and it falls off your running motor. That will ruin your impeller, any time it runs dry. If this is the case you have to pull the gear case off the motor to access the impeller. Be careful when doing this because there is hiden bolts, like under the trim tab, If gear case will not come off thats why. Do not try to hammer case off lots of damage will happen. Use a med flat blade screwdriver to pry gear case off. After removeing. the impeller is in a housing, remove bolts and pry housing off. There it is, now buying a impeller kit complete with a new housing. Write you serial # or model # down and with that you should be able to get the correct kit. e-bay is good as long as its a new kit not out of the box. This is a grade 5 skill level on this job. Danger, Just alittle overlay of the repair. Fresh gas does wonders. Heet is for old cars with carbs on them. It can damage outboard carb floats& mess up fuel injection parts. Just use marine grade fuel conditioner. Ricky

Just for giggles, here's something that you can try: Start the engine and with it idling (roughly, right?) pull the spark plug wires one at a time. To avoid getting shocked, wear a good rubber glove. If the engine dies or runs rougher, that cylinder is doing its share. If you pull a wire and nothing changes, that cylinder has a problem. Hold that spark plug boot close to the engine, you may be able to see or hear a spark jumping. That'd indicate that the ignition is OK. The problem would have to be the spark plug itself, or probably the carburetor.

Does the engine still make as much power as last fall (pushes the boat as fast as before)? If so, that's more evidence of good ignition and corroborating evidence of bad gas or a clogged carburetor passage.

It did screw things up. I wanted to finish today n check 2 ramps 2moro. I just need to check plugs n compression n put gear back in her. I'm glad i remembered to put new stickers on. Old one expired 3/31. Had trouble with depth finder for awile. Took wires off to clean terminals n crossed them. Happens when people are talking while I'm working lol. I went to the one ramp last yr n couldn't put in. River was to low there. That's why i like to check them. Both of them are 30 couple miles. I'm trying to get out brother. Hope you get yours straighten out. Good luck πŸ˜„πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thats for sure. The ones i go to around here turn into very narrow road a few miles from ramps. Some jackass broke my mirror one trip. I was off the road as far as i could get. Fool hit my mirror n kept going. If i didn't have the boat i would have run him down. $350 for a new one. Maje my day if a get a couple while I'm out LOL. Let you πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
