This is fishrich, I’m a newby. Just now decided I wanted to spend the day at St George (East end) all day tomorrow surf fishing. Don’t really have a clue what’s biting what but ima grab some live shrimp, taking the mullet net and bait net and try to make something happen. Any help on what’s biting or if anything is running right now, been out of touch with fishing for couple years now need a little update
Homassasa also has a Homassasa Springs they are on the Gulf side. So many options but as a rule I embrace shadtail rubber jigs with weighted jigheads. Adjusting weight and leader strength for the conditions. I would start with 2.5 maybe 3ft of 40lb ropping 30lb
Sometimes will change your luck with snook. Work the jigs Changing your jigs retrieval and presentation. Right when the sun comes up and sets would be prime time. This is the best way to keep from catching the persistent sailcats or other unwanted bycatch. Unless u aren't picky. Finger mullet, pinfish or shrimp.

Eau Gallie in da house! I'm a creature of the causeway persuasion. Persistence usually helps the law of averages and chugbugs can get a frenzy of everything biting that waits to ambush anything that drifts out of the shadows of the bridge. Anybody else? Now they turned off the streetlight that made it possible from shore.
Death Brett, morning. Live in Melbourne. Looking for recommendation for causeway (or other) places to fish. Thanks in advance

Looking for any inshore fishing tips in central Florida. Heading to Homosassa next week. Wondering if fish are back in creeks or out in mangroves and flats. Thanks for any info.
