Is that one of those hybrid Golden trout they would plant some of these in the lakes down south, lake Irvin and Anaheim lake , they were private lakes you paid to fish in.
Never lucky to catch one!!

Yes it is, just a yellow rainbow but very pretty and fun to catch. They are a big thing in North Calif. and beginning to come down here in the central part

Did you catch it trolling?use to troll the lakes off 395 Eastern Sierra lakes
Like Carwley and the June lake loop. We would use the trolling blades and a# 7 size Flatfish in silver or frog color have not trolled any of the lakes up here since I have move up here only bass fished.
Been up here 7yrs.
I'll have start doing it again in my boat.

Bank fishing,, go on the East Side 3 or 4 times a yr. and fish the streams and lakes. Love it over there.

Dry Heat. Huge Crowds. Freeways that flow at 10mph. Tiny houses for 500K... All the great things to move away from.
