Just got back from the hospital. I had a one night stay, with room service. My leg, calf area was hurting, so I did the zombie walk to the inside of the emergency room. Found out a had a blood clot, from below my knee to the inside of my groin area. The procedure was done late yesterday, and spent the rest of the time recouping. I am home now, and although it aches, nothing like before. Hoping that by next week I can take my yacht, and do some sac fishing.

Well HTF: Glad you are on the road to recovery. You are wise to get that taken care of because it could have been deadly if you hadn't. Just Sayin...RJS

Yeah Harris, as RJS said, a blood clot can be deadly. Glad you’ve got it resolved.

Yes, it would be awful to lose a member from just a blood clot to the heart. He is a player and contributor, so we can't lose him.. Just Sayin...RJS

Been there done that...twice. In the past 12 years. You’ll probably be on blood thinners from now on. As it turns out I have a autoimmune disease (antiphospholipid syndrome) which messes with my blood clotting abilities. So stick with your meds and you should be fine. But I recommend that you stay clear of Coumadin. That’s some nasty $hit. There is sufficient alternatives. Hope your feeling better soon...🐟on

Had you just returned from a trip? Sitting for long hours driving or flying will cause that kind of deep vain thrombosis. Happy to hear you are home healing.

THEY didn't catch anything. But they did the work, and so glad I went have it done. I caught it, when I just couldn't walk any distance, without tears. It has been 5+yrs since seeing a doctor for myself. I was on blood thinners for 3yrs, and saw the damage both in my legs and my pocket book. For those of us on SS you might know what the 'donut hole' is. It keeps them from paying after a certain amount. Thanks guys.

Glad you caught it when you did. I lost my best friend of 40 years to a blood clot 5 years ago.
