Nice little Harbor Bluefish, excellent eating size, but I'm not familiar with the 2nd one. Is that a Porkfish?

I went out fishing Thursday afternoon to the Stuart inlet and all I could catch were catfish. I did catch a bunch though.

Joined a boat club, its great way to go fishing.
Don't know if you catch and release or catch to eat but for catch to eat Catfish is one of the best also mucho fun in the catching dept. Glad you can get out Kat.

Kat, what sort of boating club did you join? Sounds like something I might like to do myself!

Yeah, for REAL... I'm pretty familiar with that whole "general neck'o the woods", having spent a lot of time at Ft. Pierce. I ALSO would like to hear about any details, you would feel free to share with us.

Thanks so much, for the info! If you get a chance to be "on the hill" in Stuart, ✓out SNL, a tackle "dealer" there in Stuart somewhere... Again = ✓- out the "inter-web", for hours and location. (We used to buy hooks and line and "Light-Sticks"; stainless steel barrel swivels; REAL-LIVE, Honest to Christ "snap-swivels" & more from them, while I was between trips longlining for tuna/swords... Never actually went to their shop, as the Captain was very familiar with them & would just "call our order in" y they would deliver it, right to the boat.)

Not here in Florida, we looked plus with the boat club there’s no insurance, or cleaning and the upkeep. I would have to buy something to tow the boat etc.

If the moon snails are like what we call moon snails in the pacific northwest, (usually about the size of a baseball) They are excellent eating. They are a bit like conch. You must be careful and check the PSP reports as with other shell fish as they are susceptible to red tide poisoning and that digestive poisoning that gets into most all shellfish. I don't know if that is a problem in your area.

Go back to an earlier post on saltwater cats. There is a lot of positive feedback on eating them.
