Going to Dale hollow and need some info.
The above comments are right on. This is a tough lake to fish this time of the year. A guide to me is a must because you can spend all of your time just looking for the fish. The guide may not know more than you but he knows the lake and its deep water.
My son and I are headed out tomorrow morning to Dale hollow to horse Creek Marina. I wanted to get back with you to see if the fish were bitting yet and any places you might suggest. Can't wait to see my son again after all most 4 years not seeing him. He's only got a few more months before retiring for Delta Force.
Hey Roboheart you guys have a great time and good luck on the fishing. Don't forget pictures man👍
Thank you and I will try to get some pictures
I would suggest finding mitchell creek or sulphur creek right now. Water was 50-52 degrees yesterday..I'm seeing the bass in the transition period...they are starting to move toward the shallows. I caught 5 yesterday...some in 3 ft and some in 15..mostly on points and water run offs..hope this helps and good luck..don't be afraid to throw something red
Thank You so much for the advice, hope we do a Little-good with this information try to put some pictures on here if we get any.
Been out for 3 days now in rain and sunshine and still can't find them. We've been throwing just about everything. Were not giving up though.
I went on a trip there rented a house boat with a friend and his brother and a few others, supposed to hold some big small mouth, all I caught was a few cat fish at night, very nice place I would Definitely go back there, good luck and have a safe trip!
Top three Smallmouth on record was caught at Dale Hollow
Well I didn't get skunked, I caught a trout. One more day hope we can get at least one small mouth.
