Nice job Spirit! Did you ask it where the trout were?

Y'know, I did. His reply would put us all in the attic. Hell, I let him swim away. I guess he thought holding still long enough for me to take his picture was bout all he was gonna put with. Well, that and that thing with the hook.

That's a perfectly fine name for them in my opinion Steve. But NOOOOO. We had to change the name to pike minnow so as not to offend anyone's tender sensibilities. I've done a little looking into this topic in particular, and can anyone out there please tell me how or why the word squaw is offensive? Mrs Spirit tells me that it is a Native American term for the female pudendum. (here I come attic). I guess kinda like calling your boss a c**t. But she can't back that up with any evidence. Which aboriginals and which language? Anyone?
Now I'm really not looking to get put in the attic, so let's not talk about whether it's right or wrong to go renaming fish for those reasons, but in my opinion if you're gonna do that ( I'm ok with it ) you should be able to back up your argument with little proof. My opinion.

Squaw was the term used to degrade a female American native...🐟on

Way to go Spirit! I agree with everyone who says the skunk is dead. You caught a fish, you produced a picture, you’re back!
I agree about renaming everything because someone decides it’s offensive. I hope I didn’t just help push this to the attic...

So I've heard. Would really like to see something that refers to that and backs it up. Then I would shut up. Because if that's true, then it's not a particularly nice word and we probably shouldn't be throwing it around like blue or hag. What?

Yes is is, the South Fork, just west of Coloma. Nice little park there, right off the road. I guess the folks who live there don't realize what a little gem they have right in their side yard. Wasn't hardly a soul there.

That over near Lotus?

I did read something about it but can’t recall the specifics. I’m sure it started up here in the PNW with our extensive population of native Americans and “pike minnows” because after all... we have a bounty on them... the pike minnows that is...🐟on

Yes, exactly. Do you recall the guy who posted the pictures of the browns he took out of there last year?

NO. I use to fish down there when I lived in Tahoe and we would go river raftin. I would drift night crawlers in between rafts coming down the river and catch rainbows in the 20+ inch range.
That's near the place the guy came down and told me I was trespassing. I related that story a few days ago.
You should be able to catch some good ones thereabouts.
