Depends on how and what they're eating. Rattle trap or Zara Spook.

White flukes here in So. Cal seem to work really well. Wait for Saw, he is the expert when it comes to stripers.

I would say it depends on where you are fishin. East coast, West coast, ocean, river.
Out here we use different things between the Napa and Petaluma Rivers.
Don't know what they use over on the Sacramento and Feather Rivers.
Where are you fishin?

I agree with Saw1... I catch Stripers of the beach ( So Cal ) with Lucky Craft Pointer 115’s and in our lakes the will hit large swimbaits ( trout ), top water plugs, big glide baits and some folks even long line frozen anchovies...

I also agree that it depends where you are. You asked about artificial baits. Most of the year in S.F. bay we use live baits, anchovy or shiners. I have used Rebels and more recently P-Line broken back lures. Shallow runners, deep runners (more often). In San Pablo bay in the late summer hair raisers with big worn tails work well, but that is in 5-7 foot of water. The delta rivers Sacramento and San Juaquin I use the P-Lines. Many guys use Yozuri lures. Basically any thing long shaped like an anchovy with a lot of wiggle will work.

Hey Chill. I've fished Franks T. a few times . Would like to get together with you sometime and let you show me more about the area. I have a daughter that lives in Brentwood and have taken my boat over there a few times. Let me know if you would be interested.
