This may seem like a 'dumb' question, but does anyone know how to remove dried gorilla glue from a surface such as metal or glass?

Depending upon the size of the mess... You might try anything from a cold (or wood) chisel & hammer, to a razor blade... Sandpaper... Once it's dried up, good and hard; I can't see any kind of "safe" solvent, being much use.
