Well, it was a winter storm watch, and I watched it snow all day in my ice hut. Love fishing the in storms. Got about 7" of snow. And the rainbows, kokes, and ling were hungry. Lost count of the rainbows after 25 caught 7 Kokanee, and 30 some Burbot/ ling. All my buddy's stayed home cuz it was supposed to snow. LMAO. Only had time for a couple pics. My nephews boy kept taking my Burbot to his dad lol. Cuz he only caught 4.. sorry not many pictures my phone died in the cold.

A good day!

Is this a burbot? I've never seen one and for sure not caught one. I hear they eat really well?

No idea. I don't ice fish, but she might could make me reconsider. I just found the photo and liked it.

I believe that is an eelpout. Supposed to be delicious, but I have never caught, nor eaten one. There is a large eelpout ice fishing festival in Northern Minnesota most years.

They cancelled it this year, OJ. It's has always been in Walker, MN. I have never been to it, but I guess it is a big deal. It is usually during the middle of Feb.

That's a lot of fish, Egg. Do any of these fish have a number limit?

You have caught a nice Ling and yes if you cut them up into 4-5" and cook by them self in your pan it does
not smell like a fish cooking. If like eating fish you won't believe the taste and sometime I use Progresso
Italian bead crumbs. Or Panko bread crumbs. Enjoy

Nope, it wasn't cold at all, it was like 28-30 degrees. Slight wind for about an hour. Dressed fir cold and sweated the whole time. Lol. Yes Spirit that's a Burbot or Eelpout or ling or just a Snot Rocket. What ever ya wanna call em.
There is a limit on rainbows and Kokanee, but I only keep a few Kokanee to eat. No rainbows. The Burbot, there is no limit. It's a must kill if you catch any. And those i only eat the ones over 2 or 3 pounds there rest the eagles get
