Just my way of letting you know that we really appreciate photos on here. Personalizes things a little bit. Know what I mean? Stay warm. Be safe.

I skippered for a man that owned a charter boat with air seat for the skipper. It was so smooth that I had to deliberately think about my clients comfort to keep from beating them up.

Try using a beanbag chair. Can't beat it in offshore choppy water.

I have had painful rides when sitting in boats. My low back and kidneys can’t take the shock anymore. My boat is a center console and I always stand when underway whether I’m driving or not, and I don’t have pain. My legs / knees absorb the shock. I’m looking to get a leaning post style seat for it. If I had to sit in a lower type seat I would have to get something like the smooth moves seat.

I have smooth moves on my 1875 Lund. They “reduce” the wave height by 2-3 feet. I fish big Canadian lakes and they make a significant difference, but they will NOT make 4-6 ft rollers disappear.

I bought a smooth move for my wife and she loves it. A bit speedy but happy wife happy life.

It can get pretty jarring out there. If you can tolerate a spongy mat on the deck, that can help. Cheap.
