Well,,,,,,,,,,,, I pi$$ed away a good morning: I have been doing everything but standing on my head and doing one-handed push-ups trying to get lined up to get the Covid Vaccination.

I have been doing everything but standing on my head and doing one-handed push-ups trying to get lined up to get the Covid Vaccination. Anyway, I found a website that said that you could pick up the vouchers from 8:00 _ 12:00 today in Brownsville. It was about 7:30 and we jumped in the SUV, and beat it to Brownsville. We arrived at about 8:15 and we had to get into about a 4 - 5 mile long line. We questioned if it would be worth it, but decided to take the chance as long as we were there. Well,,,,,,,,,, we inched along, and about 3/4 or a 1/2 a mile left until we would get to the location where we would pick up the voucher, a cop came by and said that there were out of vouchers. A good morning WASTED. What kind of luck have you guys been having? The vets around here are not having any problems but the non-vets are having a terrible battle.

Sorry to hear that Fly, that's some time wasted, but you had to try anyway right, i don't know if i'll ever get the vaccine i mean i'm only 50 but it doesn't seem like they'll ever get there, i have the feeling there gonna run out by then

Flyguy: I got my first shot yesterday. But, due to the health care facility that I belong, my doctor several weeks ago asked if I would take the shot when it became available. I said yes. So they called and arranged an appoitment. Later, they moved it up to yesterday.

There are supposedly pharmacies around giving these immunizations. You might check Walgreens and CVS in Brownsville to see if you can get yours there. Justr Sayin...RJS

Thanks, guys, we checked with Walmarts, HEB & Walgreens and they didn't have them. The clinic in Port Isabel had some the day that we got down here, but we didn't know it. The second shot has to be given 28 days later than the first shot, so a time factor is coming into play here too. I may have to do the one-handed push-up while standing on my head.

Sorry to hear you wasted all that time FG. I was fortunate enough to get mine yesterday at the VA. Anyway you can call around local hospitals or drug stores to find any information from them, or set up an appointment? That’s what my wife did a few weeks ago and has an appointment tomorrow afternoon.

The lady said i would be called for the 2nd shot. My wife refuses to be vaccinated. Nothing i could say or do will change her mind. Good luck finding a needle.

Unbelievable Coon. I’m glad you hooked up with that clinic. Is your wife afraid of the vaccine? It didn’t hurt hardly at all, just when it went in. I haven’t had any side effects at all. The second shot is usually two weeks after the first one.

Howdy Hack. That woman is tougher than hobo crap. She went through all that chemo & radiation to beat breast cancer. She's afraid something in the shot could cause some kind of setback. She's been cancer free 7 years. She's never taken a regular flu shot either.

We have same here, finished radiation almost a year ago and she dont want to get it and I know I won't have the shot. Just need to be vigilant and keep away from others you're not sure of.

Howdy Coon. My wife’s just like that. If something is hurting or she feels sick, if you ask her about it she says oh I’m ok. I can’t say anything about your wife not wanting to take the shot because I don’t think they really know all the side effects yet. She’s been through hell and doesn’t want to go there again. Maybe after they know a lot more about the downside of taking it, and it won’t cause a setback, she’ll be more in favor of it, or not. It’s a personal decision I think.
I’m glad, so far, I don’t feel any side effects except my neck is a little tight.
