nightcrawlers for live bait -- gold flaked i/4 oz daredevil spoon for lakes.
Vibrax Blue Fox. Silver or bronze, depending on light conditions.
Luke— my favorite trout lure depends on the time of year and the environment I am fishing. Early spring Rainbow spawn run I focus on using trout eggs real or artificial couple with my best imitation of a natural presentation of the roe drifting down stream with the current over rock and into Eddie’s. If I am trolling the lakes and mouths of its tributaries in the spring I will go with spoon or artificial (rapala) bait fish. If I am shore/dock casting that same lake my goto favorite is the red and white daredevil spoon. During the summer months I target the creeks and streams with small spinners of all varieties. Lastly, in the fall for the big brown trout spawn run I go with night crawlers especially after a nice rain. I use a similar presentation as with using real fish or artificial eggs...little or no weight and let the bait drift down the through riffles and Eddie’s in as natural presentation as possible.
Good luck and be safe

DON'T use the corn if you plan on releasing the fish...Trout can not digest CORN. They will die!!!!

I was lead to believe that they can digest white corn.
After fishing trout for 50 years and using just about every lure out there, the #1 most productive lure for stocked steams/rivers I’ve experienced is the #4 CP Swing. A simple bronze spinner.
The number one native “big trout” lure is the jointed Rapala #9 or #11.
I have never used corn of any kind. I was told by a good fishing friend that he has seen people using corn near his place on the river and they were using corn for bait and releasing the fish. Two days later he would see the fish floating dead in the water. He never said what color corn they were using. Hopes this helps.
Uncle joe's trout spinner.

Can you a few days later prove it is the same fish. As I said this was a lengthy conversation a few weeks ago without the proof to back it up
MAS fish
I can't believe I would need trout that badly to take the chance. The information I received was from one of the most respected Fly fishermen in the state of Arkansas. I would believe what this man told me.
Hope this helps and you catch all the trout you can handle!!!!
