We are supposed to have rain and snow on the valley floor by the weekend in the Redding, CA area and I hope it pours and snows lots as we need it.
Hello Lisa there are Stripers in the South Delta area that hang out for most of the year. Try the Old River or Grant line sloughs. Are you bank fishing or by Boat whatever the way this time of year you have to be patient the will be slow and subtle use cut bait like Anchovies or blood worms 🪱 and good luck 👍
Hey neighbor, here in Oakdale I know the strippers come up the Stanislaus river at this time of year, down at the dog pound (liberine rd) down at the point.
Yes they do but remember that they bite really light this time of year because the water 💦 is very cold
Hi LisaD yes stripers are catchable right now if you can get the right bait or throw the right lure. Had a decent day Wednesday near Antioch and a slow day Thursday at Sherman lake.
You are so right D Tong most places water was at 48-49 degrees but I was able to find temps at 50-51 and these fish just slammed the live mud suckers I was lucky enough to get at 1 out of 4 bait shops I buy from. Fish on !!!
Wow that’s good mud suckers do seem to work good at this time of year. I’ve done well with them in the past. Keep passing on the good news 😊
