Anyone catching stripers yet? I know there hasn’t been any rain to get a run going but is anyone having luck near mossdale, haven acres or out at windmill cove? Thank you.

Hi Lisa and welcome to the forum.
Having lived in Calaveras County for several years I know where Escalon is but the thousands of others on the forum probably don’t have a clue so if you edit your profile and add Ca to your location it would help immensely and get you better answers to your questions. Having said that there are several central and norcal fishing people that will be along shortly to help you out. And remember we love pictures and jokes.
Tight lines.

Welcome to Fishingstage. You can fish and get more information imaginable by being a member. I have friends in Manteca and Modesto but he is a Harley Guy not a Fisherman. Good Luck Fishing and be safe.

Hi Lisa, welcome to the stage. I think it's a little early for stripers in the delta, like you said, not enough water yet. One of our members who lives over in Windsor has been killing em over on the Napa and Petaluma rivers so they're out there and they'll be here - be patient and pray for rain.

When the almond trees bloom the striper bite is on. Old timer told me that decades ago and is usually right.

Pulled a keeper and a shaker from the delta by Pittsburg Saturday whilst trolling. Shallow troll with a crankbait and a jointed minow. The crank pulled both strippers in. Then took the Harley to the Pittsburg fish market for excellent fish and chips!

try by the old river bridge, it goes over highway 4. Stripers return to spawn the exact same place each year. If you had success before, that is were I would be
