i use green night crawlers here in ohio i catch alot of blue cat and channel cat i put 2 or 3 on my hook depending on the size of your hook, put them on and let a part of the worm danggle. another thing i do is wash my hands in the mud and sand to get rid of the human smell...dont use any perfumes or cologne, deodarants your fishing not on a date and most of all you have to be paient, you might go one time for 5 or 6 hours and slay the fish, next time you go you wont even get a bite.. fish are like us if they aint hungery they dont eat....chicken liver..(stinkier the better)...i like to dry my liver in the sun till it gets kind of dry on the outside and stinky on the inside..it helps it stay on the hook better or you can use cheese cloth to wrap your liver in.well i hope this helps some one out there, works for me.

well in ohio any bait store even walmart some times...there a little bit more pricey then plain old night crawlers, but its like any where from .50 to a 1.00 more which i gladly pay.my brother and me have lots better results with the green crawlers.ohhh i forgot you will have to ask for the green ones at bait stores if they get them for you.one place i go to at rocky fork lake has a frig stocked with them and you help yourself...not sure if you will try them but i think if your patient you will see better results.are you in ohio??????

Sally I forgot another bait we used as kids growing up on the Muskingum River in Southeastern Ohio. Take the cheapest peanut butter you can find put it on heavy make a peanut butter sandwich then go outside start working it together it's messy at first but keep going and work it together an you can make dough ball out of it.
