I have several grandsons, most have enjoyed fishing, some more than others. This boy was very excited when he got a fish on and he did a good job reeling and kept good tension on the line.

Northfork reservoir is our go to, but it isn't open for a few months. there is a reservoir below it (that's called Estacada lake) i think it is reserved for boats without power. We went up to Detroit lake yesterday. There's also Silverton reservoir which is also no motor. There are a lot of ponds and streams, read your regulations carefully.

Before Covid we were running a kids fishing club called Reel Guppy Outdoor Program. Unfortunately Covid(well, the governor of Ca.) shut that down. We'd have 100+- kids fishing every pier trip. The look on your grandsons face says it all. That's why we do it. Thanks for teaching him the good things in life. I really believe fishing can be a life changer in a kid's life, especially when they out fish us. ☺️ Thumbs up on your post. Love it.

It was a great day to be a grandpa. It was even a pleasant temperature with no wind.
