Welcome to the Fishing Stage, stockislanddog!!! I've been in and out of the Safe Harbor Inlet, many times... The only part of the Cow Key Channel I'm familiar with = right there under the bridge, as I'm on my way to the Boca Chica Lounge. (¿That joint still there?)... {Used to kill shrimp and mackerel outta Stock Island, starting back in 1980 & ain't been there now, in approaching 30 years.}

Boca Chica Lounge long gone. WE vacationed in the Keys for many years & now live on Stock Island.

Welcome to the stage. I haven’t fished there in years but you brought back good memories. My grand parents retired to Key West & Stock Island in the 70’s and we made several trips there.

Can't access the navel base. Was going to enlist in 1970 but the draft started and I got 314 and was never called.

I'd love to get on Barksdale, I was stationed there in B-52/SRAM missile systems in 73/74, incredible fishing out on the reservation lake. We rode dirt bikes all over the 30,000 acres of swamps and forest.
