Very nice! We do a lot of fishing for perch and walleyes on the Great Sacandaga. Can't wait untill Lake George freezes safe. Love the perch bite there.

Hey Tim , maybe you and Lee can advise us on the blue algae situation in some of those lakes in your area. I’ve been thinking of planning a family vacation on one of the lakes . Has it affected Champlain?

Boy, that's a good question! I have heard of new algae blooms on Lake George (which is one of my fav lakes to ice fish for perch) and that they are trying to stay on top of it and figure out where it's coming from. Apparently they(dept of environmental conservation) are still learning. Wish I had a better answer for you but that's all I have heard so far. If I hear anything more l will report back!

the blue green algae is slowly spreading thru the fingerlakes.. once the weather really starts to get hot on comes the algae. I have seen it on conesus, and honeoye lakes, every summer and owasco lake. As far as i know Canadaigua, seneca, keuka, cayuga are all fine so far..I have no info on lake champlain...you might want to check with DEC in Albany, ny.

Thanks Fish, and Lee for the info. I will be checking with DEC on that. It’s kind of a gamble securing a rental for August when an Algae bloom can pop up. If it’s not COVID it’s Algae.
