Seeing where he is from that could very well be the answer.

No harm in asking. Besides we all know what Assume really means.

Bingo! Too hard for me to fish. You will be learning about that in your new location Plum.

Hi Tim - Welcome.

It's nice to see another person from the Northeast. I am also from upstate New York. (Southern Adirondack park) We are in a good spot - close to the Mohawk River, West Canada creek and not too bad of a hike to Lake Ontario.

Are there any fish in Lake Champlain? I never see any posts about fishing there. Fished out? Grossly polluted? Or somebody's secret honey hole? What gives?

No Spirit, lake Champlain is doing fine. I watched a MLF Tournament from there last season. They too are seeing Smallmouths growing like crazy, do to the invasive Gobys. I've never fished up there, don't really have enough boat for big water. I have taken a boat ride across from NY to Vermont, on the bike a couple years ago.

Would love to go see it. I used to be an American History buff - a lot of history of the AR up in that area. Benedict Arnold and the Colonist's first Navy. It's a part of the country I've never been to.

Spirit - If you do make it there I highly recommend going to Fort Ticonderoga - especially if you can time it when they are doing a reenactment.
