I live on and fish Lake Anna (Virginia) year round. I travel to the Finger Lakes in central New York to trout fish opening week (April 1) where I was born and raised. My youngest son and I along with my brothers travel to Canada annually (except COVID 2020) to fish for walleyes. Been fishing since I was old enough to walk...always interested in learning new tactics and techniques.

Welcome to the Forum, Litefoot. The secret to this fishing game is to learn more than you forget. It's hard to stay ahead lately, and I could even be losing ground. Help me out, will you?
Welcome to the stage litefoot we like pics 😁

Welcome Litefoot always enjoy new input. Canadian trip sounds nice. I've always heard the fishing is good up there. Where is Laka Anna. My daughter and her family live in Chesapeake.
I will upload some recent fishing photos😎😎
Lake Anna is located Northwest of Richmond; Southwest of Fredericksburg, and East of Charlottesville...pretty much in the center of the Commonwealth. From Chesapeake you would go west on I64 past Richmond to US 522 north to Lake Anna.
FS Colleagues—Lake Anna is one of the largest freshwater inland reservoirs in Virginia, covering an area of 13,000 acres, and located 72 miles south of Washington, D.C. in Louisa and Spotsylvania counties. Wikipedia
Area: 20.31 mi²
Fish: Walleye, White perch, Striped bass, Largemouth bass, Bluegill, Yellow perch.
My first photo posts are some of our biggest stripers and the lone hybrid bass we have caught at Lake Anna since we began fishing here in April 2019 and moving here full time in February 2020.
FS Colleagues—my youngest son and I co-own a 2019 Tracker Guide V-16 see photos below. It’s perfect for our style of trolling and casting for stripers, large and smallmouth bass, and walleyes. It is powered by a 25 hp Mercury 4-stroke electric start outboard. Tracker Marine added a brilliant feature called Versatrack which is a metal track that run the length of the gunnels and allows for attaching a multitude of Versatrack compatible of accessories such as rod holders, cup holders, lure and tool slots, fishing net holder, downrigger mounts, etc. we upgraded our electronics to a Lowrance Elite 9 Ti2 with the 3 in 1 transducer.
She is a great fishing platform and very fuel efficient.

Welcome to the Fishing Stage, Litefoot! (¿Litetfoot?)
Able Man—many thanks...my real nickname is Lightfoot but it was already taken as a username here on Fishing Stage so I went with a derivative version😎😎. I spent lots of time on the Western Basin of Lake Erie going after walleye and smallmouths. Even tried the Mainer River for spring walleye spawning runs. I lived at and around Wright Patterson AFB (near Dayton) from 1975-1992.
Thank you for the warm welcome.
