Starting out Jan 2021: Like many of you I started Jan 1st 2021 out fishing. For me I am pleased. I caught my PB. I landed a 4lb Gaftopsail catfish! This won't be going to the smoker.

Like many of you I started Jan 1st 2021 out fishing. For me I am pleased. I caught my PB. I landed a 4lb Gaftopsail catfish! This won't be going to the smoker. Half will get breaded and fryed tonight for supper. It is big enough for 2 meals but wife doesn't eat fish so I'll vacuum seal the other half and freeze it for another future supper. I had as big a bite on my second rod and on the last big run the fish could make he was off. For what ever reason I can't attach picture to post. 🎣😩

Naw Blackdog the only seafood my wife eats is shrimp or fried 🐱 🐟 from Cracker Barrel. The girlfriend has only ridden in the boat to my launch lagoon. We have not been out in the water yet. She enjoys the ride and she stays with me when I bank fish at the lagoon. Weathers not good -- too cold -- rainy to go in the yak and even then we don't fish much.
