I was wondering how your back procedure worked, may be something I have to look into in the future.
Well it didn't return my 20 yo back to me, but it's way way better than it was. It still aches a little and seems to tire pretty easily, but for the most part I'm pain free. Hey I'm gonna be 73 in February, so I'm pretty pleased with the result. Sure beats being in misery like I was. And the procedure was virtually painless and I walked out of the surgery center the same day. All in all, I'm very well satisfied.

Pain free is a very good thing, something I haven't been for years. What was the name of the implants?
It's called a vertiflex. With stenosis, which is what I have, the pain comes when you walk or stand. Sitting relieves the pain. So this vertiflex is a spring loaded device that fits between the disks and holds the spine in the same position as when you're sitting - relieves pressure on the nerves. Seems to work pretty well, at least in my case.
Happy Better New Year .....to you ALL !!!
RJS's comment cracked me up. Since our year has been so very dry, particularly starting just before the Fourth of July, and cities cancelled big celebrations, for both Covid and drought...... the fireworks started about 9:15 and just got more intense by about 11:30. Mostly lots of noise makers, but right at midnight, the skies around the valley (what we could see with a varying fog ebb & flow) lit up in every direction. I am used to seeing 2 or 3 spots lit up with some fairly sophisticated fireworks, for individuals, but last night, no less than 6 locations on the horizon !
LOTS of pent-up fervor to party with fireworks even if they can't party with a group. The intensity peaked right at midnight, but never let up entirely until past 1am !
Heard of one "host" having a "party" at starting @11pm. Has a long looping driveway on his rural property and guests were to stay in their cars parked drive-in style to watch. Didn't go and haven't heard yet how it went on the ground....I could see the fireworks, far in the distance (maybe 2 miles) from my house.
My optimistic attitude urges me to look forward to the coming year, but I also see that the the next few months are still iffy. Wear a mask, keep distancing and let's hope the vaccines work as hoped. I talked to my little sister, a radiologist in the S.F. Bay area, this afternoon, and she has received the first of the 2 shots, the Pfizer one, and encourages all to do so in their turn. She says no one on her staff has had any adverse effects, whatsoever.
Be safe and welcome 2021 ! .......the bar was set incredibly low by your predecessor, so give us your best, please......shouldn't be all that difficult, okay ?
LOL.... me talking to "a year" !!!
Pretty audacious and presumptive of me to think I can do more than just be a cheerleader, but I try.

We're trying YB, kinda hard to maintain a positive outlook after watching the news. Lots of dumb stuff going on around the country. We will do our part, just wish everyone else would do theirs. Happy New Year buddy!

The same to you Dave, and keep your head on a swivel when you're out on the Scoot. The road is a dangerous place these days.

Well Fred I hated doing it but felt it was time to be safe and not sorry so I retired the ol’ scooter. The swivel only goes about 45* anymore so I’m limited there. But I still ride in my dreams. You ride safe my brother. 🐟on
