I made this for my son and daughter-in-law out of a chunk of wood that I found floating in a pond where I was fishing. Ok, so I'm a cheap SOB, but they seemed to like it.
Well, in my opinion, if the three of you are happy, who else matters? Just Sayin...RJS

Very nice! reminds me of when my wife and I used to make table/hutch art for different holidays out of driftwood found at the beach. People loved it, some are year around decorations. Fall or spring themes went over the best. Some were made to hang on the wall. That was years ago, we are sorry we never took pics!!

Tub, looks great to me. I would prefer something that was made from the heart then from some plastic warehouse. Nice job.

Don't know. It's some kind of hardwood, likely cut for firewood, that somehow ended up in the pond. It looks like it had some worms or something in it that chewed the bark off and left all them holes.
The look is why I picked it up in the first place.

tuboshu; it looks like a good, functional "center-piece" for the dining room table. As long as you made absolutely SURE; that none of those "wood eating critters" survive...

I had it in my workshop for over three years, and sealed it with poly. If any of those buggers are still alive there's no hope for any of us.:)
