I just want to let y’all know that Myrna (my wife) received the Moderna vaccine yesterday and has had NO bad effects, other than a slightly sore arm this morning. For those who may not know, she works for the Lawrence Douglas County Health Dept. She will get part 2 of the vaccine later.
Has anyone else on FS, or families/friends taken either vaccine yet? Let us know....

Wait and see for myself. Plus i am allergic to the normal flu shot, so a little apprehensive on getting it.

Thanks Randy for the intel.

Glad to hear she got her shot Randy, health care is on the front line of this war.
Plum they say if you're allergic to the flue vaccine, don't take this one. Can't blame you for being hesitant. When it get my turn I'll be the first in line if possible, even thou I've had it, there's people who have gotten it twice something I don't want to experience again.

Still needs to wear a mask; can still get Covid until she receives the second of 2-part vaccine. Don’t know if one can then be a carrier without actually having it or not. If I find out, I’ll post it.

I'll be wearing a mask for some time read several reports of people being reinfected after 1 bout with the virus, don't know if this goes for the vaccine or not but I'm still feeling the affects of the virus and got my negative test back this morning.

Yes, you can be reinfected if you haven’t had the vaccine. Not as likely, but still possible. Why take the chance ??....

Hey Plum,
Myrna said if you are allergic to the flu shot, you should NOT take the Covid vaccine. Thought you might like to know.

I went through it in March/April. Still getting little visits, one symptom at a time.
