Yep! It certainly is a Dalton Special. The originator Perry Dalton developed the lure for Bass fishermen in Florida. It became so popular that he made an arrangement with Shakespeare to produce the lure and retain the name. Later after a disagreement he switched over to Florida Fishing Tackle that sold it under their Barracuda Brand of lures.

Spent too much time up North here in Iowa and Michigan, have never seen one in the flesh, but, that plug looks good enough I could eat it myself !
