We freeze fish whole and then filet them out the next day, really easy to filet when they are partially frozen.

I've got a confession to make: Was once so hungry (&3/4 drunk) that I consumed a good portion of a catfish caught outta the Lower Grand River, @ Bayou Pigeon, LA; back in ~ ¿1977?... Got anxious y took it off the fire MAYBE 1/2 way cooked. I do NOT recommend that to anyone. (Pass, on the Catfish Sushi!)

Just caught a catfish but it's late so I just shoved him live in the refrigerator. I want to clean and dress it tomorrow for my first time. What I wanna know is, is it cool to keep the fish in the refrigerator? Will he survive the day in the refrigerator? Will he still be good to eat?

I honestly think I'd use him for bait or fertilizer, at that point.
