Pretty sure I have a jointed pikie minnow and it has a hook on it rear end, not a tail like that one.

Yes if you wrote that this is a Creek Chub Bait Company lure but you may have noticed the metal tail and the deep-diving lip. This lure is called a Peter's Special (produced in the 1940's - 1950's) probably the most common special order lure made by CCBC. It was ordered in quantity by the H.L. Peters Co., a sporting goods company based in New York state. The company was supplying these lures to fishermen mainly around the Fingers Lake region of upstate NY that liked to troll these plugs with the flashy metal tail. It is based on the 2600 Jointed Pikie and utilizes the fluted metal tail typically used on their model 2400 Wigglefish. The Peter's treatment was also applied to the Jointed Baby Pike 900, the Jointed Snook Pikie 5500, Jointed Husky Pikie 3000, and the Jointed Striper Pikie 6800 that are less common than the 2600 Peter's Special.

Bought one when I was a kid, because it was the lure that caught the world record largemouth. Used it a few times, the Northern seemed to like it better that the bass did. Still have it in the "retired" lure collection.
